THE MOSAIC PROJECT!!!

Parents!! The students are doing a wonderful job on their mosaics in social studies class. I am so pleased with their progress and how well each group is working hard to bring their picture to life! On Monday the students finished up their mosaic draft. Tuesday they begin coloring macaroni, rice, pinto beans, spaghetti, broken CD cases, beads, rocks, glass, and just a variety of things. The rest of our time will be spent in the LAB, while working with various food colors, watercolors, acrylic paints, tile scorers, glue, etc. I should have the foundation boards ready for students to start painting and gluing down small pieces by Thursday. They are really excited about completing this project and it shows. I think this will be a piece they will never forget!! I know I won’t!!!

I will continue to keep you posted with our progress and/or any changes. Right now - The projected due date to have “Mosaics Around The World” complete is: Friday May 9th. This will give all projects time to dry over the weekend and be ready to present to the class on Monday May 12th.

Thanks in advance for helping them with any purchases towards doing this project. We really appreciate it!!
